Moder, contemporary or traditional armchairs are best friends of lounge furniture, so above all they  must be comfortable and have a "snuggability "factor. Do not opt for just  feather filled cushions as the feathers do not give support and they need constantly plumping up to look smart.Some foams on the other hand  can be too firm so choose  medium/soft foam filled armchair cushions.

The room size will dictate what size of armchair you should consider. For larger rooms consider a  high-backed armchair  but for  smaller rooms   consider smaller armchairs or tub chairs or if  you want to add a contemporary feel why not consider  pod chairs.

Whatever you  intend to choose, make sure that the armchair, tub chair or pod chair will complement your sofa. It does not have to be the same colour as the sofa, but must be in keeping with your decor.
